What this policy commits us to
- Every conversion factor and reference value is checked against the body that defines it.
- Every calculator is tested against a worked example before it is published.
- Where a result should not be acted on alone, the page says so instead of implying authority.
- Corrections are made on the page and the updated date moves with them. We never backdate.
- No invented authors, no invented statistics, no paid placement.
This page describes how SoShareIT decides what to publish and what has to be true before a tool or an article goes live. It exists because the failure modes here are quiet: a conversion factor rounded one digit too early looks identical to a correct one until somebody’s measurement is wrong.

Who is responsible
SoShareIT was founded by Lê Thanh Sang, who sets the technical direction and is accountable for the accuracy of what appears here. His background — web graphic design at IES College of Economics and Informatics in 2009, software programming at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry in 2016, and work on provincial government web portals at the Institute of Telecommunications Technology — is set out in full on his author page, including his public GitHub, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
That is deliberate. A named person with a verifiable record is accountable in a way that an anonymous brand is not. Where a page is written by the wider editorial team rather than by him, it is attributed to the team — we do not put a founder’s name on work he did not do.
Where numbers come from
A value goes on a page only when it comes from the body that actually defines it.

We do not derive values from other tool sites. It is the fastest way to publish and the fastest way to inherit an error that then becomes very hard to dislodge, because everyone can see it is “already on the internet”.
How a calculator is tested
Three steps, and the order matters.
Check the formula against its source
First, because a wrong formula makes every later test meaningless — it will be internally consistent and consistently wrong.
Run a worked example with a known answer
An example whose result is published elsewhere by someone who is not us. If our tool disagrees, our tool is wrong until proven otherwise. This catches the errors that reading the code does not: an operator precedence slip, a unit assumed in the wrong system.
Push the edges
Zero, negative numbers, a value far larger than anyone would sensibly enter, an empty field. A calculator that returns a confident answer to an impossible input is worse than one that refuses, because the confident answer gets used.
Saying when a result is not enough
Some results should not be acted on alone, and the honest thing is to say so on the page rather than let a clean interface imply an authority it does not have.
A calculator applies a formula to the numbers entered. It cannot know your jurisdiction, your contract, your medical history or the exception that applies to your case. Where the stakes are real — money, health, legal obligation, structural safety — the page says to verify with someone who can see the whole situation. That note costs us nothing and it is the difference between a useful tool and a misleading one.
Keeping guides current
Software changes. A screenshot guide written against one version of an operating system can become wrong without a single word being edited, because the menu moved.
Guides that depend on a specific version say which version they were tested against. The last-updated date moves only when the content genuinely changed — we do not refresh dates to look active, because a date that moves on every automated touch tells a reader nothing at all.
Corrections
We fix errors on the page where they appeared. We do not quietly edit and leave the date untouched, we do not delete a page to make a mistake disappear, and we do not backdate.
Reader corrections are the most useful mail we receive and they are treated that way. If you have found a wrong factor, a formula that does not match its source, or a guide whose steps no longer exist, the contact page reaches a real mailbox.
Independence
Nobody pays for a tool to be added, an article to be written, or a product to be described favourably. There is no sponsored content here and no paid inclusion. Where we mention a product by name it is because the guide is about it, and a mention is not an endorsement.
