The short version
- The calculators, converters and tools are free, including for commercial work.
- Results are for general information. Check anything with real consequences against a professional source.
- Our articles and images are ours; the symbols and characters we publish belong to nobody.
- We use analytics to see which pages are read. The privacy policy says exactly what that means.
- We may change or remove a tool. There is no uptime guarantee here.

What you may do
Use every calculator, converter and generator on this site freely, at home or at work, with no account and no attribution. Copy the output. Paste a converted value into a document, a spreadsheet, a message, a client deliverable.
We make no ownership claim over what the tools produce. A converted number, a calculated result, a copied symbol — none of that is ours in any meaningful sense, and the arrangement is yours.
Special characters and emoji are a related but separate point worth stating: they are defined by the Unicode Standard and belong to nobody at all. We publish them, we do not own them, and you need no permission from us to use one.
What results actually are
Every tool here computes what it says it computes, and that is not the same as being right for your situation.
A calculator applies a formula to the numbers you enter. It does not know your jurisdiction, your contract, your medical history, your tax position, or the exception that applies to your case. Where a result carries real consequences — money, health, legal obligations, structural safety — treat it as a first estimate and verify it with a professional who can see the whole picture.
Conversion factors and reference values are checked against their published standards, and we correct errors when we find them or when a reader reports one. Our editorial policy describes the checking. That is a genuine commitment and it is still not a warranty: the site is provided as it is, without guarantee of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Our content, and what is not ours
The articles, guides, explanations and original images on this site are ours and are protected by copyright. Quote a paragraph with a link back and we are glad to have been useful. Copying a whole article and republishing it under another name is a copyright matter, not a grey area.
Two things on our pages are not ours to license and we will not pretend otherwise. Unicode characters and emoji belong to nobody. Trademarks, product names and platform names mentioned in our guides belong to their owners, and appear here only to describe what the guide is about — mention is not affiliation, endorsement or sponsorship.
What you may not do
- Do not scrape the site. Automated bulk requests degrade it for everyone and will be blocked. If you need data in bulk, write and ask.
- Do not republish our articles wholesale, translated or otherwise, under your own name.
- Do not present a result as professional advice. Passing a calculator output off as a financial, medical or legal opinion is a misrepresentation, and it is yours rather than ours.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the site or the service of anyone else using it.
Availability
We may add a tool, change one, or take one away, and the site may be down for maintenance without notice. There is no service-level agreement and no paid tier that would create one. If a tool you rely on disappears, tell us — we would usually rather fix it than leave it broken.
Links out, and measurement
We link to standards bodies, official documentation and primary sources because citing where a number came from is more honest than asserting it. Those sites are not ours and we are not responsible for what they publish.
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages are read and which are not. What that means for your data — including how to opt out — is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this site, its tools or its content. Where local law does not permit a limitation of that kind, this clause applies only as far as it lawfully can. Nothing here is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
